Arneson, Kris Lee (Marriage
- 18 December 1971)
Miss Kris Lee Arneson became the fried of Paul David
Ruggles Saturday, December 18, at 2 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee.
The Rev. Robert Sullivan officiated at the double-ring ceremony which united the
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. E. Arneson of Owen and the son of Mr. and Ms. Robert
Ruggles of Withee.
The bride wore a simply-styled, white wool gown,
fashioned with long, fitted sleeves and a full back as she was given in marriage
by her father. She carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations on a
background of holly.
Miss Allyce Arneson served as maid of honor and Miss
Leslie Ruggles, as bridesmaid. Both wore gold velvet gowns styled with
champagne-colored sheer bodices, and carried colonial bouquets of sweetheart
roses and pompons.
Robert Ruggles acted as best man. Groomsman was Jeff
Arneson. Ushers were John W. Knittle and Mark Miller.
Vocal music was
provided by Kathy Maki and Wendy Kankee, who sang to a guitar accompaniment.
Mrs. Bert Eberts played the organ preceding and following the ceremony.
A
reception in the parish hall following the ceremony preceded an evening
reception at the home of the bride’s parents.
The newlyweds are graduates
of Owen-Withee High School. The bride attended the University of Wisconsin -
River Falls for two years. Her husband presently attends the same school. Both
are employed in River Falls.
Following a short honeymoon, they will make
their home in River Falls.
