Boedeker, Simon #3 (05 APR 1857 - 02 FEB 1947)

Simon Boedeker was born on April 5, 1857 in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County and was united in marriage there to Miss Meta Gosse on December 12, 1891. In 1901 the Baedekers’ came to Clark County and settled on a farm on the West Side where they resided until his death which occurred on Sunday, February 2, 1947 at 6:00 o’clock. He has been an invalid for the past few years but was seriously ill for the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 1:30 p.m. from the Schiller Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. from the West Side Emanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church. Rev. J.C. Klingeberger will officiate and the Senior Choir will sing. Mr. Boedeker will be laid to rest in the new West Side Cemetery.

Surviving are his invalid wife; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara Boedeker, and granddaughter, Marylyn, who reside at Rosendale; one brother, Wm. Boedeker, Sheboygan; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Richter, Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Lydia Arpke, Diller, Neb.; Mrs. Otto Tache, Redfield, S. Dak.; and Mrs. Henry Decker, Sheboygan.
