Roeber, Louise Soefker #3 (31 OCT 1871 - 09 DEC 1949)

Mrs. Louise Soefker Roeber, daughter of the late Fred Soefker and Frederka Koch Soefker was born October 31, 1871 in Germany and at the age of 6 months came to the United States with her parents settling on a farm west of Greenwood. She resided in this vicinity for the past 76 years.

On July 3, 1897 she was married to Henry Thielan. Four children were born to them, Lena, Ella, William and George. Her husband and Ella and William preceded her in death. On February 24, 1904 she was married to Matt Roeber.

For a time the Roebers lived on a farm near Unity and in June, 1949 they moved to Greenwood.

Mrs. Roeber passed away at her home here of a heart attack while preparing breakfast, on Friday morning, December 9, 1949.
