Sherman, Velma Mae #2 (01

Velma Mae Hindal was born in Greeley Iowa, Feb.
1, 1908. She was the daughter of Irva and the late Mable Fischer Hindal. At two
years of age she went with her parents to Levina, Mont., where they lived until
1925, when they came to Greenwood, where she has since resided. She graduated
from the Greenwood High School with the class of 1928.
On April 4, 1937 she was united in marriage to Irving Edward Sherman of Greenwood at Sheldon.
Velma was a member of the Methodist Church and Ladies Aid in Greenwood, a member of the Woman’s Club and its president in 1944 and 1945. She was an active member of Forrest Queen Camp, Royal neighbors of America. Her ill health caused her to give up her duties as Camp Recorder a short time ago, the office she had held for several years.
She had been in poor health for the past two years and passed away at her home on Thursday, September 15, 1949 at the age of 41 years, 7 months and 14 days.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and father of Greenwood, a brother Clair of
Placerville, California, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Her
mother passed away February 14, 1946.
