Campus Highlights (26 February 2014)

UW-Madison Winter Grads

Several thousand students received degrees during the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s winter commencement ceremonies, December 22, 2013, including Tristan Jay Mahr, Stanley, WI, Master of Science-Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Professor Donald Downs delivered the charge to graduates at the ceremony held at the Kohl Center.

Dean’s List/Honor Roll at University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Tiffany Carol Bruhn of Cadott was named to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Deans’ List/Honor Roll for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Bruhn is a freshman sociology major in the college of Arts and Sciences.

University of Minnesota Twin Cities Dean’s list

To qualify for the Dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

Students honored for academic success during the 2013 fall semester: Stanley, WI: Lyndsey Thorpe, Junior, College of Education/Human development; Thorp, WI: Jacob Drost, sophomore, College of Science and Engineering.

UW-Stout Chancellor’s Award

Students from the area are recipients of the Chancellor’s Award for the fall 2013 semester.

Brandon Cesafsky of Stanley, majoring in BS construction; Tyler Crank of Cadott, majoring in BS business administration; Jason Diekfuss of Stanley, majoring in BS golf enterprise management; Tiffany Haas of Thorp, majoring in BS early childhood education; Amy Huff of Stanley, majoring in BS vocational rehabilitation; Kaley Johnson of Withee, majoring in BS retail merchandising and management; David Kmieciak of Stanley, majoring in Bs engineering technology; Scott Lawcewicz of Thorp, majoring in BS manufacturing engineering; Rebecca Mcinnis of Cadott, majoring in BS human development and family studies; Tyler Palmer of Stanley, majoring in BS applied mathematics and computer science; Cade Roshell of Boyd, majoring in BS applied mathematics and computer science; Sam Simmons of boys, majoring in Bs engineering technology.

The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Fall 2013 President’s list

Northcentral Technical College is pleased to announce the President’s list for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2013 semester. The following students enrolled in a post-secondar3y program earned a 3.75 grade point average or above for the semester.
