McGonigal, Blanche (Abt. 1883 - 26 May 1967)

Mrs. Blanch Mcgonigal, 84, Loyal, a resident of the Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville the past four months, died of complications at Neillsville Memorial Hospital at 6:15 p.m. Friday, May 26. She was the widow of the late Dr. Matthew McGonigal of Loyal, who died August 6, 1936 and two sisters.

Services were held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church here at 11 a.m. Monday, May 29. with the Rev.Norbert E, King officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements, and a general rosary was held Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

The former Blanche Graves, was married to Dr. Mathew McGonigal in 1912 at Loyal. She attended Stevens Point Normal after her graduation from Loyal High School and taught school in the Loyal area until her marriage.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Loyal.

Pall bearers were James Bertz, Frank Degenhardt, Lawrence Davel, Max Langfeldt, Harold Tucker, and Bert Brown.
