Bauer, Caroline (26 Aug 1894 - 02 June 1967

Mrs. Caroline (Shefchik) Bauer, died at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc on Friday, June 2.

Srvices were held at St. Adelbert’s Catholic Church in South Milwaukee on June 5 and burialwas made in the Catholic cemetery at Loyal.

The former Caroline Shefchik was born August 26, 1894 at West Crock; and as a child moved to the Loyal area on a farm with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shefchik.

June 16, 1915 she married William A. Bauer at Loyal. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1958.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Woodrow (Julia) Bergner, Mischot; Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Hollman, Milwaukee; Mrs. Gilbert (Marie) Justrow, South Milwaukee; and Mrs. Erwin (Regina) Merkel, Cudahay; 3 sons, Dr. Frank J. Bauer, Los Angeles, California; Albert, Rockford, Illinois; and William, Wisconsin Rapids; 2 sisters, Sister M. Leomitis, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Anna Kwitek, also of Milwaukee; 3 brothers, Frank Shefchik, Milwaukee and Emil and Charles Shefchik, Loyal; 33 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
