Jensen, Jesse D. (25 JUN 1990 - 22 JAN 2014)

Jesse D. Jensen, 23, of Owen, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in Menomonie.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Bonnie Cain will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and from 2:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the church.

Jesse was born June 25, 1990, the daughter of Steve Jensen and Julie Slobodnik in Marshfield. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 2008. Jesse was in her 5th year attending UW-Stout in Menomonie, studying Industrial Design.

Jesse was a wonderful daughter, great sister and was loved by everyone she knew. She had a brilliant mind, very artistic and enjoyed playing softball.

Jesse is survived by her father, Steve Jensen of Owen; her mother, Julie Slobodnik (Steve Christophersen) of Owen; her brother, Jared Jensen of Owen; paternal grandparents, Gene and Rosella (Lueth) Jensen of Neillsville and maternal grandparents, Richard and Dolores (Stangret) Slobodnik of Withee. She is further survived by aunts and uncles: Jamie Jensen of Dorchester, Eugene (Joan) Jensen of Unity, Brent Jensen of Owen, Randy (Gloria) Slobodnik of Dousmann, Bruce (Debbie) Slobodnik of Gwinn, MI and John Slobodnik of Wausau; cousins, other relatives and many friends.
