Schoelzel, Glen R. (12 MAR 1938 - 12 JAN 2014)
Glen R. Schoelzel, age 75, Shiocton died on Sunday, January 12, 2014, following
a lengthy illness.
Funeral services for Glen will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 11:00
a.m. at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Shiocton. Family and friends may call at
the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Military Rites will be held following the funeral ceremony. Glen will be buried
with his beloved pet “Kitty”

Glen R. Schoelzel, age 75, Shiocton died on Sunday, January 12, 2014, following
a lengthy illness.
He was born March 12, 1938, in Colby, WI, the 13th child of 21 children born to
the late Rudolph and Olivia (Guentenburger) Schoelzel. On June 21, 1958, Glen
was united in marriage to Romona VanderWielen in Kimberly.
He was a truck driver for Schierl Company in Stevens Point for many years
retiring in 2003. Glen enjoyed riding horses and his Harley. He served his
country in the US Army in Virginia from 1957 -1959.
Glen is survived by his wife Romona; daughter Terry (Brad) Wahlberg, Omro; sons,
Tim (fiancée Linda Diemel) Schoelzel, Seymour; Tom (Jenni) Schoelzel, Shiocton
and Todd (Kristin) Schoelzel, Ripon; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters: Dar, Jerry (Joan), Darnell (Janice), Emerita, Ronnie, Jim
(Bonnie), Sandy (Jim), and Connie (Duane); brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws,
Mike (Lorraine), Joe, and Ray (Rose). He is further survived by numerous nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Duwayne, Rudy
Jr., Doris, Lyle, Bea, Ione, Audris, Pat, Arlyn, Dennis, Korliss and a great
grandson, Landon James.
