Kangas, David R. (9 APR 1954 - 9 DEC 2013)

David R. Kangas, 59, Las Vegas, NV died December 9, 2013, at home from heart complications.

He was born April 9, 1954,in Medford, to Eino and Dorothy (Marten) Kangas.

David attended both Ogema and Abbotsford Elementary school and Abbotsford High School.

He began his working career early in life in the construction field around the Abbotsford area, later moved to Washington, and finally making his home in Las Vegas while continuing to work in the construction field.

He had retired at the time of his death due to his health.

David was an avid reader for enjoyment, and kept up with state and local affairs, as well as many sport teams. He never married.

His is survived by two sisters, Shirley (David) Williams, Stetsonville, and Marilyn (Duane) Meyers, Colby; and one brother, Richard Kangas, Thorp

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eino and Dorothy Kangas.

A private graveside memorial service will be held in the spring. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family
