Mrs. Harlan Brux and daughter, Judith spent Wednesday and Thursday in Neenah,
where Judith will begin practice teaching on January 17. They also visited at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Brockman at Freedom.
Mrs. Robert Jackson will entertain the Esther circle of our Savior’s Lutheran
Church at her home today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m.
The annual congregation al meeting will be held at Immanuel United Church
Sunday, January 16, at 1:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
Members of the Intersee Club met at the home of Mrs. Carl Lindner Wednesday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heiking of Loyal,
were guests at the Ed Federwitz home in Marshfield.
Cheryl Verhulst celebrated her birthday be entertaining relatives Saturday at
the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Verhulst.
The Women’s Society of Christian Service will meet Friday at 2 p.m. Hostesses
will be Mrs. Kathryn Ivey and Mrs. Knute Wallin. The program will be in charge
of Mrs. Truman Hill.
The Adult Fellowship will meet in Zion United Church at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vollrath will be hosts.
The American Legion auxiliary will meet Monday at the legion Hall at 8 p.m.
Hostesses will b Mrs. Robert Carl, Mrs. E. L. Cook, Mrs. Helen Behrens and Mrs.
Victor Diercks.
Hubert Horn, who was admitted to the hospital in Marshfield January 3, underwent
surgery there January 7. His wife and son, Gerald, visited him Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bolf have moved into the Goettsch house on Depot Street
recently vacated by Mrs. Nellie Stroud, who has moved into a mobile home in the
rural area.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski and granddaughter, Kathy Kowieski, of Auburndale,
were guests Sunday at the Harlan Brux home.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst returned Friday after spending a week at Milbank,
S. D., with their son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Verhulst and
family.
Mrs. Robert Stewart was admitted Sunday to Sacred heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
