Scholtz, Clara (13 September 1896 - 8 January 1972)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph (Clara) Scholtz, 75, of Rt. 2, Granton, who died
January 8 in Neillsville, were held Tuesday, January 11, at 2 p.m. from the
Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. E. T. Keller of Pittsville
officiated and burial was made in the Sherwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Scholtz, the former Clara Gall, was born September 13, 1896, in Hinton, Ia.
Her marriage to Ralph Scholtz took place August 8, 1917, at Sherwood. The
Scholtzes lived on a farm in the Town of Sherwood. Mrs. Scholtz was a member of
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Sherwood.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Mrs. Leslie
(Mildred) Todd of Granton; three sons, Clement of Aurora, Il, Duane of Rockford,
Il, and Gene of Granton; a sister, Mrs. Ida McGinty of Sioux City, Ia; and nine
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Robert Friedrichsen, Norman Freedlund, John Bowen, George
Tullis, John Paun and Arlo Scholtz. Mrs. Leland Garbisch was the organist.
