Critelli, Joan Marie (29 MAY 1956 - 24 JAN 2014)

Joan Marie Critelli, 57, of Unity, WI, died Friday January 24, 2014. Joan was born to Joseph Critelli and the late Agnes Critelli on May 29, 1956 in Guthrie Center, IA.

Joan led an adventurous life and lived in Mason City and Ames, IA, Falls Church, VA, Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau, AK, Savannah, GA, Oklahoma City, OK, Neillsville, Marshfield and Unity, WI.

Joan had many jobs, including bar-tending, cleaning, commercial fishing in Alaska, customer service and factory work at Land O' Lakes. She devoted time to Bible study and her dogs Tucker and Pong. Joan never had her own children, but treasured her many nieces and nephews. Joan was fun loving and full of laughter. She liked winning at Scrabble, old movies, coffee, time with family, the Packers, big sweaters and leg warmers.

Joan was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes, whom she dearly missed and her grandparents James and Josephine Critelli and Ona and Claude Irish.

Joan is survived by her father, Joseph (Sharon) Critelli; her dear friends Amy Culpepper of Marshfield and Deb Primus of Boise, ID; two sisters: Christine (Scott) Nicolet of Round Rock, TX; Susan (Patrick) McTaggart of Dubuque, IA; three brothers: James (Mary) Critelli of Rocklin, CA; Timothy Critelli of Pacific Palisades, CA; and Mark (Marilee) Critelli of Marshfield, WI; and 12 nieces and nephews; Brian and Sarah Nicolet of Austin TX, Rachel and Sofie Critelli of Rocklin, CA, Abbey, Ryan, Liam and Danny McTaggart of Dubuque, IA and Mikala, Emily, Ava and Claire Critelli of Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Pastor Larry Jones officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Rembs Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 am until service time. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
