On a wedding trip to an disclosed location are Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Simonson
who were married Saturday, July 22, at At. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.
Mrs. Simonson is the former Barbara Ann Weyer. Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Weyer, route 1, Loyal and Mr. and mrs. C. J. Simonson, route 2,
Loyal.
The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the 12:30 p.m. ceremony with the
children’s choir singing and Mike Tucker at the organ.
The bride given in marriage by her father carried an arrangement of yellow
rosebuds with olive green ribbon background, wore a floor-length sheath of peau
de sole, which had a chapel train. Her bouffant illusion veil was secured to a
pearl cluster peau de sole fore headpiece.
The maid of honor, Miss Jane Weyer, Loyal, and Mrs. Bruce Simonson, route 2,
Loyal, Miss Edna Hoefs, Marshfield and Miss Mardell Miller, route 1, Loyal, were
the bridesmaids. They each wore yellow floor-length formals of lace and chiffon
over taffeta, and matching floral cluster headpieces with pouf veils. And
carried a colonial-style bouquet of yellow, orange and whire carnations.
Bruce Simonson, rout 2, Loyal was best man. Groomsmen were Peter Veal, Blue
Island, Illinois, and Edward Weyer and Dale Rothamer, both of route 1, Loyal.
James and Joseph Weyer were the ushers.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the bride’s parental home. A
4:30 p.m. supper was held at the church hall and a dance was held that evening
at the Silver Dome Ballroom.
The bride who has been employed as a dental assistant in Marshfield by Dr.
William M. Eiche, is a 1966 graduate of Loyal High school, from which her
husband graduated in 1963. He is employed by Spencer Sport Products at Spencer.
The couple will reside on route 2, Spencer.
