Purdy, Col. Douglas C. (4 APR 1918 - 23 JAN 2014)
Col. Douglas C. Purdy (USAF, Ret.) of Winter Park, Florida, died on Jan. 23,
2014.
He was born April 4, 1918, in Athens, Wisconsin. Following graduation from
McKinley High School in Marshfield, he studied engineering at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison.
Douglas moved to Orlando, Fla., in 1972 upon retirement from the Air Force and
then to The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park, Fla. in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Duvall) Purdy, and two daughters, Michele
Noullet, Spartenburg SC. and Susan Marlatt, Nanoose Bay, BC, Canada; five
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Local survivors include Edward and Claudine Fandry of Marshfield, Donald and
Evelyn Durst of Marshfield.
