Mrs. Anna Volk of this city (Greenwood, Clark County, WI) received word recently that her son Floyd had been promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Army.
Floyd attended Greenwood High School graduating
with the class of 1912 after which he served in the army during the First World
War He was again called to the colors when the present conflict began. He is now
serving somewhere in New Guinea from where the word came of his advancement.
