Langfeldt, Erwin, Langfeldt (23 March 1920 – 20 July 1967)
Services were held on July 24, for Erwin E. Langfeldt, 47, at 10:30 a.m. at the
Reardan Presbyterian Church, Reardan, Washington.
Mr. Langfeldt died on Thursday, July 20, from Multiple myeloma, a disease of the
bone marrow. He died in the Spokane hospital.
Mr. Langfeldt was born on March 23, 1920 in Davenport, Iowa and was raised in
Wisconsin. He served at Fairchild Air Force with the 92nd Operational
Maintainance Squadron as a master sergeant until his retirement in May 1961. He
then spent three years at Eastern Washington State College, earning his
bachelor’s degree in education. He taught industrial arts at Lakeland Village
since then.
Mr. Langfeldt was the first president of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Cystis
Fibrosis Research Foundation. A daughter, Myrna, a victim of the disease died
last November.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry
Langfeldt, Loyal, Wisconsin; two daughters, Pamela, at home, and Paula a student
at EWSC; a son, Lynn, at home, three sisters, one who is Mrs. Ulysses Cain,
Loyal, and three brothers, one who is Max Langfeldt, Loyal, Wisconsin.
