Mr. and Mrs. Oswald, route 2, Loyal, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
on Saturday, August 12 at the Loyal Methodist Church. A dinner was served to
about seventy relatives. A reception followed with an open house from 2 – 5 p.m.
Several granddaughters read poems and a small grandson played several selections
on the accordion. Harlow Henninger, The oldest son of the honored couple was
master of ceremonies.
Mrs. Henninger wore a celery green lace dress with a gold cymbidium orchid
corsage. Mr. Henninger had a carnation boutonniere.
The couple were married on December 5, 1917, at the Loyal Methodist Parsonage.
Because of vacations, cold weather and school the event was held at this time.
Miss Betty Henninger. who was maid of honor at their wedding attended. The best
man, Mr. Owen Smith, is deceased.
The following sons and daughters and their families attended. Mr. and Mrs.
Harlow Henninger, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Philip (Lillian) Weller, Oak Creek;
<r. and Mrs. Harold (Nita) Henninger, Oakes, North Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
Henninger, Phoenix, Arizona; Mr. and Mrs. Arleigh Henninger, Hayward,
California; Mr. and Mrs. Harlan (Carol) Hughes, Santa Ana, California; Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Henninger, Germantown; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Henninger, Green Bay; Mr.
Kenneth Henninger, Davenport, Iowa; and Miss Marion Henninger, Loyal; one
daughter, Mrs. Jack DuBrava, Burlington, Iowa, was unable to attend.

Henninger and Mr. and Mrs. Don Johnston and son, Beloit, MR. and Mrs. Emil
Henninger, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindow, Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Henninger
and son, Mrs. Gary Weiler and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Henninger,
Marshfield, Mrs. Walter Kindt, Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Roder,
Whitewater, Rev. and Mrs. Richard Smith and family, Nekoosa, Mr. and Mrs.
William Pearsail and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meyer, Beloit, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
