Moser, Edwin (29 November 1914 - 28 January 1972)
Funeral services for Edwin Moser, 57, of Neillsville, who died January 28, were
held Monday, January 31, at 3:15 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev.
Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in
the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Edwin Moser, the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Hill) Moser, was born November 29,
1914, at Merrillan and received his education there and at Neillsville schools,
having moved to Neillsville at the age of nine. A veteran of World War II, Mr.
Moser worked at various positions in Neillsville and retired in 1968 due to
failing health. His marriage to the former Eva Nelson took place September 12,
1936, at Devils Lake, N.D.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two children, Mrs. Donald (Caroline)
Miller of Evansville and Victor Moser of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Alois
(Mary) Denzinger of Long View, Wa; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bertie Schultz, Harvey Schultz, Fritz Stelter, Chester Turville,
Chris Vandeberg and Billy Opelt. “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Rock of
Ages” were sung by Mrs. Edison Mathis. Mrs. Jess W. Scott was the accompanist.
Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Miller
and family of Evansville, John Nelson of Fort Totten, N. D., Mr. and Mrs. Bud
Dickenson of Rockford, Il, Mrs. Doris Weber of New Rockford, N. C., Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Kurz of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Christen and Art Christen of Humbird
and Helen Behrens, Lois Johnson and Hazel Helwig of Greenwood.
