Boehning, Phillip N. (12 SEP 1940 – 27 FEB 2014)
Phillip N. Boehning, 73, Loyal, died on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Spencer.
Phillip Neil Boehning was born on Sept. 12, 1940 in Loyal, to Alfred and Nellie
Boehning. He graduated from Loyal High School and served in the U.S. Marine
Corps for four years following graduation. Phil was married to Kay Lorraine
Brillhart for 14 years and had three children. He was a self-employed machinist
and an active member in the community. He served as town chairman for the town
of Sherman, and served 24 years as a Clark County Board supervisor. Phil was an
active member of the Clark County Fair Board and a member of Trinity Lutheran
Church in Spencer. His primary love was his family and friends. He also had a
love for racing and the racing community.
Phil is survived by two children, Tonya (Boehning) Hamm, Spencer, and Bridget
Boehning, Marshfield; two grandchildren, Shane and Jacob Hamm, Spencer; and six
siblings, Georgiana (Boehning) Oelrich, Arthur Boehning, Elizabeth (Boehning)
Meyer, Linda (Boehning) Gregg, Mary (Boehning) Olson and and Bobby Boehning.
Phil was predeceased by his son, P. Shane Boehning, on July 16, 1988; and his
parents, Alfred and Nellie Boehning.
