Jacobs, Leila F. (Glamann) (16 APR 1934 - 28 FEB 2014)
Leila F. Jacobs, 79, McGregor, Minn., died on Friday, Feb. 28 at Evergreen
Terrace Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, Minn. A memorial service will be held on
Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Erika Foss
officiating. Burial will be at Pine Needle Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
McGregor Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
The former Leila Glamann was born on April 16, 1934 in Medford to the late
Fredrick and Caroline (Diels) Glamann. She grew up and attended schools in
Medford, and was a 1951 graduate of Medford High School.
On September 15, 1951 in Medford, she married Hans Krausse who preceded her in
death in 1968. They lived in Medford until 1959 when they moved to McGregor. On
November 1, 1969 in Palisade, Minn., She married Gordon Jacobs, who preceded her
in death in 2000.
She began and operated LJ Electrical Manufacturing Company in 1979, and ran it
until 2008.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, McGregor Lioness, and had taught
Sunday school. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and reading.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Mark) Miller of McGregor, Dorothy
(Bruce) Bjelland of Nashwauk, Minn., and Lori (Alan) Cornett of Anoka, Minn.;
three step-children, Mike (Carol) Jacobs and Tim Jacobs, both of Ham Lake,
Minn., and Paula (Jim) Henderson of McGregor; a brother, Harvey Glamann; a
sister-in-law, Donna Glamann; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother,
Clarence.
