Trinity Lutheran Church, Goodland, Indiana was the scene of the wedding of
Marilyn C. Johnson and Airman 2/c Craig Hansen, Plainview, New York.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Joseph Schneider, route 5, Eau Claire (the former
Altha Morse) and Norman Johnson, Barrington, Illinois and Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Hansen, Plainview, New York.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ronald G. Goetz,
brother-in-law of the groom, on Saturday, November 4, at 4 p.m.
The bride was seen in a floor length satin dress with lace trim and train and a
shoulder length veil with crown of pearls.
Miss Darlene Johnson was maid of honor and Miss Barbara Jacobsen was the
bridesmaid. Both wore olive green satin dresses with matching green net and a
bow for a headpiece. They carried baskets of orange and yellow flowers.
The groom was attended by Steven Waling as best man and Richard Hansen was
groomsman.
Mr. H. Quenney sang “O,Perfect Love: and “The Lord’a Prayer.”
A reception was held at George Ade’s Hazelden at Brook, Indiana.
The couple both attended St. John’s Lutheran College at Winfield, Kansas. Mrs.
Hansen is employed as an operator with the Illinois Bell Telephone Company at
Barrington, Illinois and after a wedding trip to New York the groom will report
at San Francisco, California on November 26 where he has been assigned to 18
months overseas duty at Okinawa.
