Zank, Emma (29 January 1882 - 7 February 1972)

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Zank, 90, of Neillsville, who died February 7, were held Wednesday, February 9, at 3 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. George E. Yons of the United Church of Christ officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Zank, the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Imish) Stelloh, was born January 29, 1882, in Milwaukee. She was educated there and worked in Milwaukee until moving to Clark County with her family. Her marriage to William Zank took place April 2, 1901, in Neillsville. Mr. Zank died in 1954. After his death, Mrs. Zank made her home with her children. She entered Memorial Hospital two weeks before her death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Evanson of St. Paul, Mn; eight sons, Edward and Frank Zank of Neillsville, Walter Zank of Fairchild, Albert Zank of Cedar Falls, Ia, Robert and Charles Zank of Pekin, Il, Louis Zank of Lindstrom, Mn, and Harold Zank of Almelund, Mn; and 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clara Pagenkopf and Mrs. Ella Stockwell, and by a brother, Ed Stelloh, all of Neillsville.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Zank were Harold Milbreit, Leo Pflughoeft, Tom Yndogliato, Carl Nemitz, Herb Wagner and Albert Mohr. Ellis Wall sang “Saved by Grace” and “Let the Lower Lights be Burning.” He was accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Those from out of town who attended the services included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zank of Fairchild, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Evenson and David of St. Paul, Mn, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zank and family of Center City, Mn, Louis Zank of Lindstrom, Mn, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zank, Robert Zank and Margaret Lahnes of Pekin, Il, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zank of Cedar Falls, Ia, Jerry Zank of Chicago, Il, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Zank of Red Wing, Mn, and Mr and Mrs. Wendell Suckow of Marquette, Mi.
