Krokson, Fred (18 March 1884 - 26 January 1972)

Fred Krokson, 87, of Ormond, Fl, former Greenwood resident, died of a heart attack January 26 at a hospital in Daytona Beach, Fl. Mr. Krokson, son of John and Inger (Johnson) Krokson, was born March 18, 1884, in Sweden. He never married.

Survivors are four nephews and five nieces: Elmer and Albert Krokson of Cornell, Alvin and Arthur Krokson of Chicago, Miss Lillian Borseth of Minneapolis, Mn, Mrs. Helen Stach of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frank Trampush of Greenwood, Mrs. Donald Drew of Viroqua, and Mrs. Ethel Berrett of Rhinelander.

Funeral services were held January 31 from the Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Honises, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Cornell, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Arthur Kolstad, Hubert Kuehn, Hugh Christie, Ervin Geisler, Albert Krokson and Elmer Krokson. Gary Schultz sang, “Rock of Ages” and “Abide with Me” accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Don Warner.
