Dobbe, Agnes (10 December 1901 - 31 January 1972)
Funeral services for Mrs. Edd (Agnes) Dobbe, 70, of Rt. 1 Loyal, who died
January 31 in Gainesville, Fl, hospital, were held Friday, February 4, at 11
a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. The Rev. William Humlie officiated
and burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery. The Roycraft Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dobbe, the former Agnes Schmidt, was born December 10, 1901, in the Town of
Beaver. After her marriage in 1920 she and her husband farmed in the Town of
Beaver. They retired in 1958 but continued to live on the same farm. Mrs. Dobbe,
who had spent the last three months in Gainesville, was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church in Loyal.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Mrs. Victor
(Virginia) Neubauer of Watertown, Mrs. Shirley Coulthurst of Gainesville, Fl,
and Mrs. Walter (Marlene) Mews of Marshfield; and six grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Hugh Darton, Reno Herdrich, David Smith, Oscar Neeb, Arnold
Stumpner and Herb Hinkelmann. “How Great Thou Art” and “Until We Meet Again”
were sung by Verlyn Randt. Mrs. Gladys Olson was the organist.
