Hahto, Axel (23 AUG 1902 – 5 APR 1965)

Funeral services for Axel Matt Hahto, 62, are planned at two o’clock from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. Rev. Arvin Myherwold, Greenwood, will conduct the service, with burial being scheduled for Riverside Cemetery.

Axel Hahto, a resident of this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) as a youth, died Monday at the home in Waukegan, Ill., where he has lived since leaving here as a youth. His death was due to a heart attack.

The deceased was 62 years of age, being born Aug. 23, 1902 at Waukegan, Ill. He was raised on a farm south of Longwood, but as a young man left the farm, returning to Waukegan where he has since made his home, pursuing the construction trade.

Hahto, unmarried, is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Jack (Martha) Niemi, route 1, Owen; Mrs. Elmer (Linda) Ltikenen, Maywood, Ill.; Mrs. Ted (Helen) Piekola, route 1, Withee; Ina Hahto, Highland Park, Ill.; Mrs. George (Vivian) Acker and Mrs. Ed (Bertha) Krumney, Grays Lake, Ill.; and two brothers, Richard Hahto, route 1, Owen, and John Hahto, North Chicago, Ill.
