Mrs. Fred Crowley, a resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for more than 55 years,
succumbed to a heart condition late Saturday, April 10, 1965, passing away at
the Clark County Hospital where she had been a resident for seven weeks since
returning here from Oregon where she had lived the past three years with her
daughter.
Funeral services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at 10
o’clock Tuesday forenoon, April 13, with Father H.L. Crubel of the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, Owen, reading the final rites. Burial was made at Riverside
Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Lawrence Clark, James Crowley, Joe Hiebsch, Carl
Barfknect, Fred Hoeper and C.E. Beck.
Mrs. Crowley was 79 years of age, being born June 26, 1885. On June 10, 1905 she
became the bride of Fred Crowley in a ceremony performed at Thorp. The couple
then moved to Owen, where she made her home until 1960, when she went to
Troutdale, Ore. to live with her daughter Dorothy, and family. She returned to
Owen seven weeks ago and has been in ill health the past several weeks.
She is survived by her husband Fred of Owen; and a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy)
