Orht, Marie (20 NOV 1941)
Announcements were received here last week of the marriage of Miss Marie Orht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Orht of Arena, Wis., to Wm. Pfanku, also of Arena on thanksgiving Day, November 20, 1941 at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. James Slauson of East Braintree, Mass.
The bride wore a raisin wine crepe gown with a corsage of white, blue and yellow flowers. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Slauson, who wore a pale blue crepe gown with a corsage of rust and yellow chrysanthemums. Mr. Slauson attended the groom.
A wedding dinner was served at Toll House, Whiteman, Mass.; and the bride and groom are enjoying a sight-seeing trip in the east and will be at home at Arena, to their many friends after January 1st.
The bride is well known here as the Orht family and Slauson family resided here for a few years.
The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
