Mathison, Eva (21 AUG 1901 - 18 DEC 1934)
Eva Ione Mathison, daughter of Henry and Annie Mathison, was born in the town of
Loyal Aug. 21, 1901. Shew as taken to the Winona General Hospital at Winona,
Minn. On Dec. 7, 1934, where she was operated on for cancer. She grew gradually
weaker and passed away Dec. 18, 1934.
She attended the rural school and was a graduate of the Loyal High School and of
Ripon College with the class of 1922 with a B.A. Degree. She taught English in
high schools for ten years in Wisconsin and the West. At the time of her death
she was attending Business College at Winona, Minn.
One brother preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1900.
She leaves to mourn her death, her father and mother, one brother, Chester and
wife of Milwaukee, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock,
Rev. Glenn Shanks officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
