Arciszewski, Julia (29 July 1922 - 22 March 2014)
Julia Arciszewski, age 91, of Marshfield, formerly of Thorp, went to Our Lord on
Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Golden Living Center --- Three Oaks, in Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. of Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St.
Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Rev Janusz Kowalski officiated and
burial followed in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was held on
Wednesday, at the church, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Julie Arciszewski was born on July 29, 1922, in Thorp, the daughter of Frank and
Anna (Dziedziak) Arciszewski.
She was raised on the family farm and educated at Thorp area schools, graduating
from Thorp High School. Julia then attended secretarial school in Eau Claire.
She was employed at Peoples Exchange Bank in Thorp until 1963, when she moved to
Marshfield. She then worked at Central State Bank, in Marshfield, until 1977,
when she retired due to ill health. She continued to live in Marshfield until
her death.
While in Marshfield she was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and its PCCW
the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, and Forum 55. She had a deep devotion to
our Lord Jesus, and his Mother Mary. She also loved music, reading, playing the
piano and organ, and current events.
She is survived by one sister, Gertrude Jasinek of Oswego, IL; one
sister-in-law, Dolores Arciszewski, of Thorp; numerous nieces, nephews, great
nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further survived by her
dear friend, Leon Dietel of Marshfield, who was by her side at her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Leo Tylka, Adolph
Tylka, and Stanley Arciszewski; four sisters: Lillian Jozwiak, Josephine Para,
Stella Zukowski, Helen Arciszewski in infancy; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
