Slowiak, Michael L. (21 OCT 1971 - 4 APR 2014)

Michael L. Slowiak, 42, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home in Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 9, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Michael was born on Oct. 21, 1971, the son of Lawrence E. and Judith A. (nee Popowski) Slowiak, in Chicago, Ill. He graduated from Marshfield High School and went on to become a Master Electrician. Michael was a former Coast Guard Captain and started Father Son Charters out of Sturgeon Bay with his father and sons. He currently worked as a project manager for Total Electric in Marshfield and loved working for the company. Total Electric was not only his job, but truly a second family. On Oct. 8, 1994, Michael married Shelli M. Lucas in Marshfield. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Badgers, Brewers and Packers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and flying RC Airplanes. He especially enjoyed coaching and watching his children’s sporting events. Those who knew him best will miss his warm spirit and his love of family.

Michael is lovingly survived by his parents, Lawrence and Judith; his wife, Shelli; three children, Jade (Ashley), Autumn, and Keaton; and one sister, Michelle (Jason) Bellile.

He was the world’s greatest dad, loving husband, brother, and son. We will never forget you.
