Haase, Doris (6 JUL 1927)
The marriage of Albert Franz and Doris Haase was solemnized at the Braun
Settlement Reformed Church, July 6, 1927, at high noon, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer
officiating. The double ring ceremony was used.
The church was beautifully decorated with many flowers and ferns, the color
scheme of pink and white being carried out in flowers, paper streamers and
bells.
Rose Haase, a sister of the bride and Ferdinand Franz, a brother of the groom,
were the attendants.
The bride, who wore a gown of white lace and the usual long veil, carried a
shower bouquet of pink roses. She entered the church on the arm of her father.
She also carried a knit kerchief made by her maternal grandmother, also used by
the bride's mother at her wedding.
A wedding reception was held at the bride's home where a wedding dinner was
served. The table was graced by a three tiered wedding cake made by the bride's
father.
Mr. and Mrs. Franz will make their home at Unity, where the groom purchased a
cheese factory.
