Reisner, Alfred (1 March 1892 - 21 February 1972)

Funeral services for Alfred Reisner, age 79. Of Sheldon, who died February 21 at Luther hospital in Eau Claire, are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Church of Christ in Sheldon. The Rev. Roger Kester will officiate and burial will be made in Woodlawn cemetery at Sheldon. The McElrauy-Geier Funeral home at Ladysmith is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred Reisner was born March 1, 1892, in Clark County and moved to Taylor County in 1922. His marriage to the former Edna Snyder took place November 11, 1922, in Clark County. She preceded him in death. Mr. Reisner, who farmed in the Sheldon area for 50 years, was treasurer of the Town of McKinley for 29 years and was a member of the Holcombe Sportsman’s club and of the Farmers Union

Survivors include seven children, Mrs. Mike (Martha) Krause of Granton; Arthur and Edward Reisner of Milwaukee; Mrs. Elmer (Lucille) Van Buren of Oconto Falls, Ruby and Charles at home, and Arnold Reisner of Sheldon; and 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Allen Reisner of Granton.
