Manier, Shirley Ann (28 March 1937 - 4 April 2014)
Shirley Manier, age 77, of Abbotsford died Friday, April 4, 2014, in the
emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Shirley Ann Hall was born March 28, 1937, in Alluwe, OK, the daughter of Jessie
and Dora (Holt) Hall. She was united in marriage to Glenn Manier Feb. 19, 1977.
She was retired from her most recent job of working in the bakery department of
Kramer’s County Market in Abbotsford.
Shirley was a deeply religious person who enjoyed watching the birds and
squirrels. She enjoyed baking all of the birthday cakes for her family and
listening to The Gaithers.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; five children, Linda (Mike) Ziembo of
Medford, Lauri (Brad) Devereaux of Arizona, Margie Opelt of Marshfield, Felecia
(Ralph) Treffert of Spencer, and Eddie (Amy) Pouge of Medford; 14 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Shirley is also survived
by four sisters, Helen and Jackie (Gene) of California, and Dorothy and Judy of
Oklahoma; and two brothers, Jim and Jerry of Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert; and many siblings.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at
the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Schuenke will officiate.
Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10
a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Gesche Funeral Home.
Casketbearers are: Cody Opelt, Dakota Opelt, Travis Opelt, Hunter Pouge, Eddie
Pouge and Logan Pouge.
