Mr. and Mrs. Greene and son Orville were Neillsville callers Sunday evening.
The West Side Ladies Aid will meet at the home of Mrs. Otto Fravert, Wednesday,
Aug. 3.
Miss Elsie Barr of Milwaukee is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. A.C. Barr.
Charlotte McCarty came down from Longwood Saturday and went to Stevens Point
with Viola and Jessie Barr and Harold Haupt, where she will visit.
Miss Mildred Shanks went to Eau Claire Monday and from there she will go camping
with a number of friends.
Miss Arlene Olson of Neillsville spent the past week at the Rev. Aaberg home.
Reformed Aid will meet Thursday, July 28th, at the church. Everybody is welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Blum on route two entertained company from Iowa a couple of
days last week.
I have a strayed calf, about 4 months old. Owner may have same by paying
charges. John Petkovsek, Willard, Wis.
The orchard demonstration which was to be held at Geo. Einfeldt's last Saturday,
Aug. 6th, at 2:30 p.m. Everybody is invited to come.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Romang and daughters Florence, Mable and Irene and Mr.
Ollie Molly of Oconomowoc with the C. Keiner family Saturday.
Remember the Equity Warehouse has a large supply of twine. Come and get our
prices before buying anywhere else.
The W.C.T.U. will meet at the Central Hotel, Tuesday, Aug. 2nd. The county
president, mrs. W. Ford, will present. Everybody is welcome.
Miss Lena Smtih and Mr. and Mrs. P. Smith of Capron, Ill. Arrived here to visit
with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Roewert. They were also at Hayward to see their cousins.
John Rothenbach and family and mother of La Crosse took dinner Sunday at the W.H.
Blum home on route two.
Mrs. D. Spencer of La Crosse is visiting at the home of her daughter, mrs. P.E.
Peterson.
The Rod & Gun Club received twenty-five cans of trout yesterday. The fish were
taken to nearby streams.
The local ball team lost to Neillsville at Neillsville last Sunday, the score
being 7 to 0. Next Sunday Greenwood will play at Stanley.
Mrs. Wm. Neuenfeldt, who has been a patient at the hospital at Marshfield for
nearly twelve weeks, was well enough to be brought to her home here Tuesday.
Although Mrs. Neuenfeldt is still in bed and unable to sit up, she is getting
along nicely and her complete recovery is assured.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Waschechek and family, Arthur Picker and friend, Mr. and Mrs.
John Stark and daughter and her friend and Mr. and Mrs. Al Krause returned to
Milwaukee last week after a visit at the Fred Kocher home on route 1.
Fradettes and Vingers had a picnic at Chippewa Falls Sunday.
Miss Catherine Carelton is visiting at the Barr home this week.
Harold Haupt and Viola and Jessie Barr drove to Stevens point Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Curtis and daughter Ruth of Aberdeen, S.D. and Mr. and Mrs.
J.C. Smith and grandson of Gilman, Wis. Were visiting at the Albert Shanks home
Monday.
Dr. Harry Faber of Mitchell, S.D. spent a few days at the Dr. A.J. Currie home.
Dr. Currie and Dr. Faber were classmates at college and this is the first time
they met in thirteen years.
Eva Kalkofen, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kalkofen, underwent an operation for
appendicitis at the hospital at Marshfield last week. She is getting along
nicely and will be able to return home soon.
Rev. and Mrs. E.G. Pfeiffer left Monday for Oshkosh. From there Mrs. Pfeiffer
will leave by auto for Ohio with her sister, Mrs. Wm. Oelrich.
