Wichersham, Harold (6 MAY 1922 - 10 APR 2014)
Harold Wickersham, 91, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at
his home. He was born on May 6, 1922, in Chili, WI, to the late Louis and Leona
(Bealer) Wickersham. Mr. Wickersham served in the CC Camps of Wisconsin and the
Army Air Corps as a plane mechanic for WWII. He served as commander of the
Legion Post 21 and Chief of the 4c & 8. He later became a welder at Simons and
American Motors of Kenosha, WI. He was an active member of the American Legion
and the UAW for many years. At the time of his passing, he was living with his
daughter in Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Lucille Redlin Wickersham and Mary Lou
Bach Wickersham; parents, Louis and Leona (Bealer) Wickersham; brothers, Buz and
Glen Wickersham; and one sister Mary Lou.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon Lukuszewski and Barbara Plaiss and husband,
Bruce of AL; sister, Joyce Deichel and husband, Don; brother, John Wickersham
and wife, Loraina; six granddaughters; ten great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Kenosha Funeral
Services from noon to 1 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial
Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
