Marshall, Judy Marie (Marriage - 26 February 1972)

Miss Judy Marie Marshall and Russell Robert Ratsch exchanged wedding vows Saturday, February 26, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Marshall of Neillsville are the bride’s parents. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ratsch of Rt. 1 Neillsville.

The bride wore a gown of white lace over taffeta, styled with a stand-up collar, lace bishop sleeves, a full, attached train and a scalloped hemline. A high-waist effect was created by a satin panel with princess seaming. Her lace headpiece, accented by pearl-trimmed satin petals, held a bouffant tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and red roses as she was given in marriage by her father.

Matron-of-honor Mrs. James Simek, wore a hot pink gown fashioned with a billowing sleeves gathered into deep cuffs and highlighted by floral braid trim. She carried pink and white carnations.

James Ratsch served as bestman. Ushers were James Simek and Jeffery Ratsch. Nuptial music was provided by St. Mary’s Choir accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short.

A wedding reception for approximately 180 guests was held at the Wildcat Inn.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Neillsville High School. Her husband, also a Neillsville High School graduate, received a degree recently from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at Kenosha.

The newlyweds will live on Rt. 1 Neillsville. Both are employed locally.
