Last week Wm. Kuester of route two advertised that his German Police don had been lost. On Tuesday of this week, Mr. Kuester called at this office and informed us that the dog had returned home, but that he had been caught in a trap where he had spent nine days and nights. His left hind leg was badly bruised from being in the trap and he had also lost weight, being very poor. Parties who set traps are required by law to look at the more often than every nine days, and unless this is done someone is apt to get into trouble. Howe the dog escaped with his life is a mirccle, as the blizzard of last Thursday and Friday was enough to freeze him to death.
