Hinz, Betty Lou (16 July 1960 - 11 April 2014)
Betty Lou Hinz, age 53, of Black River Falls passed away Friday, April 11, 2014,
at Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls.
Betty was born July 16, 1960, to Clarence and Lillian (Sundermeyer) Hinz in Fort
Dodge, IA. She received her early education in Luverne, IA, before moving to
Abbotsford, where she was a 1979 graduate of Abbotsford High School. After high
school, she worked at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield in the kitchen and
the laundry departments.
Betty married Peter Newmann, and they were blessed with four children; they
later divorced. She loved to be a homemaker and helping at various restaurants.
Betty enjoyed karaoke, horse riding, gardening, tending her flowers and jigsaw
puzzles.
Betty is lovingly survived by her four children, Tammy (David) Mendoza of
Neillsville, Heather (Joseph Brummeyer) Newmann of Willard, Scott Newmann of
Greenwood and Julie Newmann of Sparta; eight grandchildren, Caleb Hebert, Izryel
Saul Mendoza, Effrain Martin Mendoza, Diego Julian Mendoza, Moyseis Ivan
Mendoza, Jacob Brummeyer, Benjamin Brummeyer, and Giovani Leonardo Mendoza; a
sister, Louise (Tom) Bobbe of Dorchester; and brothers, Leo nard Hinz of Colby
and David Hinz of Unity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lillian Hinz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.
until the time of service.
