Alex Loos came home from Chilton Friday, where he has been employed for the past
year, for a visit with home folks.
Mrs. Matt Heintz returned to her home at Greenwood after spending a few days
with her sister at the Jake Heintz home.
C.B. Esselman is reported on the gain since his accident last week, although he
is still confined to his bed.
Misses Marjorie Hawley, Kathryn Wright, Helanda Martin and Winnie Wildish of
Neillsville, accompanied by a party of others from Neillsville and Marshfield,
left Marshfield Monday for a ten day excursion trip throught the sunny south and
to Texas. Some went merely for pleasure and others are prospective Texas land
buyers.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stutte entertained the following friends at dinner Sunday: Mr.
and Mrs. Conrad Loos, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Verhalen, and Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger.
James and Herb White and Walter Swieso assisted in hauling pole wood for the
M.E. Church at Loyal Friday.
Joe Andraska and family of Loyal and Alex Loos took dinner Sunday evening at the
Esselman home.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Biers and two little daughters, Evelyn and Delores, spent
Tuesday with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Evans.
The pupils of the Lyon School who received prizes for the largest number of
perfect lessons were Lorraine Martin, Harold Biers, Lola Mae Swieso, Kenneth
White, Ila Swieso, Eunita and Arlene White.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stutte spent Tuesday afternoon at C.B. Esselman's.
Jack Hensler Jr. is employed at the Loyal Cheese Factory.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Perkins of Spencer were guests at the C.A. Corey home Sunday.
Mrs. William Evans and son Billie of York called at Herman Biers' Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Zuege were given a pleasant surprise Wednesday evening when a
number of friends arrived in honor of Mrs. Zuege's birthday. An enjoyable
evening was spent at cards, after which an elaborate lunch was served. The
guests departed wishing Mrs. Zuege many more happy birthdays.
