Mrs. Millie Smith entertained a few at cards at her home Tuesday evening.

A.C. Buker entertained the "Gang" at his home Saturday evening.

Orland Boyce entertained a few of his boy friends at a dinner at his home Sunday evening.

Donald and Dale Stabnow spent Saturday and Sunday with relatives at Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Hastings Baird and daughter spent Sunday at Loyal.

Alonzo Volk of Allen has been spending a few days at the Dr. R.L. Barnes home.

Mrs. Howard Stilwell entertained a number of guests at her home Saturday evening.

Mrs. L. Arbs entertained the Merry-go-round at her home last evening.

W.G. Hartson and Harry Hartson were at Wis. Rapids last week.

Mrs. Elmer Etta and daughter of Loyal spent several days of last week here at the A.C. Buker home.

J. O'Connell went to Fox Lake Thursday for a ten day visit with relatives and friends.

Mrs. H. Haeuser of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sorenson of Abbotsford spent Sunday here at the George Haeuser home.

Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Peterson and daughter autoed to La Crosse Saturday where they spent Sunday with relatives and friends.

Elaine Buker entertained a number of her little friends at her home Monday afternoon in honor of her fifth birthday. The little folks all report a good time.

A very large crowd attended the American Legion dance at the opera house last Friday evening. The boys cleared over seventy dollars.

The large barn belonging to Phil Christie is being torn down. It was built many years ago and was used as a livery barn before automobiles were invented.

Harry Palms of Owen spent Sunday at the A.C. buker home.

John Kuehn was taken to the hospital at Marshfield last week where he underwent an operation for piles. He is getting along nicely.

P.W. Gullord attended the Conservative Republican rally at Marshfield last Thursday. Postmaster Hartson also attended.

Perry Volk and Dr. Nelson of Loyal were Sunday visitors at the Harold Stabnow home.

Mrs. August Stabnow of West Beaver spent last week at the C.H. Zimmerman home.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Meyer of Loyal were guests at the A.C. Buker home Wednesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Schwan of Neillsville were guests at the Louis Brown home Sunday.

Sybil and Adeline Poirier and John Scharenbrock of Willard were at Marshfield Sunday.

Mrs. M.E. Kenyon will entertain the Schafskopf Club at her home this evening.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Arbs and son and Mr. and Mrs. C.J. carter were Sunday visitors at Marshfield.

Theodore McNamara returned to Dayton, Ohio Tuesday, after spending two weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Oelig.

Mrs. F.G. MacLachlan entertained the Ye Towne Bridge Club at her home Tuesday evening.

Clarence Moberg is spending the week at the home of his brother Harry at Abbotsford.

Miss Irene O'Connell left for Fox Lake Monday, called there by the sudden death of her uncle, S.I. Hillier, who passed away Sunday evening.

Elmer Etta of Loyal spent Saturday and Sunday at the A.C. Buker home.

Peter Krieg of Marshfield is helping out at the Gleaner Office this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moberg and children of Abbotsford spent Sunday here at the Ole Moberg home.

Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger entertained the 500 Club at their home Sunday evening. First prizes were won by Anna Lindner and Sylvester Hinker. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindner won the consolation prizes. A large crowd was in attendance and a most enjoyable time was had by all.

Mrs. Albert Schwarze, Mrs. W.G. Hartson and Mrs. Fred Behrens were at Neillsville yesterday.

Mrs. Augusta Dittner sold her 80 acre farm in the town of Beaver to her son, Fred Dittner, for a consideration of $5,500.
