Schultz, Carol (1957? - 23 JUN 1966)
A nine-year old Colby girl, Carol Schultz, became the eighth Clark County
traffic fatality victim Thursday night when she died in St. Joseph's hospital,
Marshfield.
Carol had been injured when she was struck by a truck while riding a bike in
front of her home in rural Colby. According to reports she turned in front of
the truck to enter a driveway to her home. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Schultz. Carol received a double skull fracture and brain damage.
Russell Kops, Stratford, was driver of the truck. Her body was taken to Lulloff
Funeral Home, Colby.
The accident was investigated by county traffic officers Dick Niemi and Frank
Sarafin, and by Chief of Police Lapp of Colby.
