Strebe, Marlin Gene (17 JUN 1940 - 1 APR 2014)
Marlin Gene Strebe, 73 years old, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away on April 1,
2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, he has joined the Lord.
There will be no funeral service per Marlin's request. He will be cremated and
buried in the Veteran's Cemetery near his home.
Marlin was born in Goodrich on June 17, 1940. He graduated from Medford High
School.
Marlin was married to Janice (Jansen) on March 21, 1975. They were married for
39 years.
Marlin served in the Army for three years, then settled in Texas and started
operating a chicken farm, which he did until retirement in 2002.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and dog racing.
Marlin is survived by Janice, his wife; three children, Wayne, Nathan and Kale;
two grandchildren, Layne and Alyssa; and five brothers. Marlin is preceded in
death by his father, Arnie, and mother, Rachel, one brother, Ralph, and two
sisters, Francis and Rachel Ann.
