Holley, Roy H. (24 February 1882 - 26 March 1972)
Funeral services for Roy Henry Holley, age 80, of Memorial Home who died March
26, were to be held Wednesday, March 29 at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral
Home. The Rev. Daniel Litzer of Calvary Lutheran Church was to officiate and
burial was to be made in the Forest Hill Cemetery at Greenwood.
Roy Holley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Holley, was born February 24, 1882,
in Irvington, Ia., and was educated there. His marriage to the former Ida Marie
Johnson, now Mrs. William Thompson of Marshfield, took place January 18, 1918,
at Ripplinger. Mr. Holley farmed in Wisconsin and was also employed at Roddis
Plywood for many years. He was a resident of Memorial Home for the past year.
Survivors include six children, Orville Holley of Spokane, Wa, Mrs. Orin
(Beatrice) Isenogle of Apache Junction, Az., Mrs. Fred (Irene) Hupe of Lombard,
Il, Alvin Holley of Hoffman Estates, Il, and Maynard and Norman Holley of Elgin,
Il.; one brother, Irving Holley of Nekoosa; and 18 grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Roy Henry Holley, 80, of Memorial Home, who died March 26,
were held Wednesday, March 29, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The
Rev. Daniel Litzer of Calvary Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in

Pallbearers were: Scott, Greg, Leroy, Kenneth and Richard Holley and Herbert
Wiersig. Soloist Mrs. Roger Heineck sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond the
Sunset.” She was accompanied by Miss Marilyn Galstad.
Those from out of town who attended the services included Maynard Holley, Greg
Holley, Scott Holley, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Holley, Norman Holley, Miss Brenda
Holley, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Holley, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Holley, Mrs. Ethel
Holley, Mrs. Betty Esin and Mrs. Patricia Cousineau, all of Elgin, Il; Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Hupe and Miss Kimberly Hupe of Lombard, Il; and Alvin Holley of
Hoffman Estates, Il.
