Moffatt, Lillian (27 June 1900 - 30 March 1972)
Interment services for Mrs. Lillian Moffatt, 71, of the Grand Army Home at King,
who died there March 30, were held Saturday, April 1, at 3 p.m. at the
Neillsville City Cemetery. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church
officiated. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moffatt, the daughter of Ferdinand and Amelia (Market) Buelow, was born
June 27, 1900, at Merrimac and was educated there. Her marriage to Hollie E.
Moffatt took place July 21, 1920, in Neillsville. The couple farmed in the
Shortville area; after Mr. Moffatt’s death in 1952, she moved to Neillsville.
Mrs. Moffatt, who was a member of the United Methodist Church, entered the Grand
Army Home in September of 1968.
Survivors include a son, Norman Moffatt of Menasha; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Van
Horn of Alma Center and Mrs. William (Caroline) Eschenback of Baraboo; and four
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
