Czahor, Theresa (2 JUL 1966)

Pink Gladiolas and blue titnted carnations were on the altar of the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, for the marriage of Theresa Czahor and William M. Schlaak on Saturday, July 2nd, 1966. Rev. John Dzurko performed the 10:30 a.m. nuptial high mass and marriage ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Czahor, Gilman, and Mr. and Mrs. William G. Schlaak, fond du Lac.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown with bouffant skirt of organza over faille taffeta and the front skirt featured panels of sequin embroidered Chantilly lace. A chapel length train and long tapered sleeves completed her gown.

A bouffant veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls, oval loops and pearl tear drop trim. She carried a bouquet of trim cymbidium orchids and white carnations accented with ivy.

Marian Miller, friend of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaid was Rosemary Czahor, sister of the bride. Patricia Czahor, also a sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. They wore floor length gowns of blue embroidered peau de soie accented with elbow length jackets. Their headpieces were blue bows with 3 tiers of blue net and each carried a bouquet of blue tint carnations accented with ivy.

Brian O'Brien and Ray Piper, friends of the groom, were attendants for the groom, and ushers were Louis Glasnapp, friend of the groom, and Frank Czahor, brother of the bride.

A dinner and reception for 75 guests were held at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman.

The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School and Wis. State University - Eau Claire, was formerly employed by the Merrill Board of Education as senior high physics and geometry teacher. The groom is a graduate of Goodrich High School, Fond du Lac and Wis. State University - Oshkosh, and is with the Medford Board of Education as a senior high history teacher.

After their wedding trip to Detroit and Dearborn, Mich., they are temporarily residing at 350 Amory in Fond du Lac.
