Bauernfiend - Sister Mary Florence (10 DEC 1917 - 15 AUG 1966)

Sister Mary Florence O.S.M., 49, formerly Thea Bauernfiend of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital in Ladysmith. Sister Florence had been stationed at the Lady of Sorrows Convent in Ladysmith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the convent of Our Lady of Sorrows, with burial in the convent cemetery at Ladysmith.

She was born Dec. 10, 1917 in Thorp, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bauernfiend.

Sister Mary Florence received her education at St. Bernard's School in Thorp, graduating from McDonnell High School, Chippewa Falls, after which she entered Our Lady of Sorrows Convent at Ladysmith.

Surviving are her mother of Thorp; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Grabon, Thorp, Mrs. Ericka Warner, Cloressa, Minn., and Mrs. Harry Carrall, Crete, Ill.; three brothers, Alvin, Couer d' Alene, Idaho, Leon, Rochester, Minn., and Jack, Hudson.
