Dorothy Lato left for Eau Claire Tuesday.
Jerry Teclaw visited Steve Budzinski at Medford last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton lauer visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Dudansky
Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Frank Lewandowski entertained Mrs. David Mamayek, Mrs. Wilfred Vanderhyden
Jr., Mrs. Stanley Fortek, Mrs. Jess Bandor, Mrs. Malen Teclaw and Mrs. Henry
Budzinski of Medford at her home Wednesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel Jr. and family also visited at the Louis Pagel Sr. home
on Friday evening. Miss June Pagel of Stanley also spent a few days there.
Mrs. John Balcer, Mrs. Joseph Rogalski and Mrs. A.E. Sapetta visited with Mrs.
Sumiec at the Stanley Memorial Hospital last week.
Mrs. Laurence Schultz of Chicago, Ill. And Mr. Bob Smitke and son Gene of
Duluth, Minn. Visited at the Frank Smitke home Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lauer and daughter, Mary Lynn of Chicago, Ill. Spent the past
week visiting relatives at Eau Claire, Stanley and Thorp. They returned to their
home in Chicago on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mamayek, Mr. Hank Budzinski and Steve of Medford, and Jerry
Teclaw visited Mr. and Mrs. David Mamayek and family on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Layton Asselin and Mrs. Dave Weinberger are spending two weeks in
Milwaukee with friends and relatives and also attending the fair in Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Schultz of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Roytek of
Stanley visited at the Zigmund Danielewicz home Saturday evening.
Kent Sauerwein and Mrs. Steve Danielewicz visted at the Louis Pagel home Sunday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Soderberg and family of Marshfield spent the past week in
Thorp at the Louis Badzinski and Pat Soderberg home.
Mrs. August Bischoff of Gilman was a guest at Miss Luverne Fenstermacher home a
few days last week.
On Sunday, aug. 14th a family reunion was held in Boyd, at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew Nawrocki. Those attending from Thorp were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Losiewicz
and son, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Losiewicz and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Losiewicz and
daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fortek, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grendzinski Sr. and
son, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grendzinski Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest nawrocki
of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Allan Christopherson and sons of Withee and Miss
Vicki Sluzewski of Wausau. All enjoyed a wonderful time.
Mrs. Mary Herman of Addison, Ill. Spent some time at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Herman and returned on Monday to her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Fernando Duss of Boyd visited at the Louis Badzinski home on
Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Mae Van Gordor of Greenwood spent the weekend with Luverne Fenstermacher.
Leigh Scheibe of Marshfield stayed with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Jacque, from Wednesday until Saturday, while her parents and brothers Scott and
Eric visited friends at Marquette, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman and Mrs. Mary Herman of Addison, Ill., Mrs. Bertha
Dudansky visited with Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski at Gilman on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Szymanski and Scott returned to Barron Sunday after spending
a week in Thorp.
Master Sgt. Walter L. Bohn and family are visiting relatives and friends on
their way to Marsh Air Force Base in California, where he will be stationed.
Marcy Budzinski of Eau Claire spent the weekend at her home here.
Mrs. Joseph Trahan and children Joe, Jane and Dane of Bowie, Maryland, and Mrs.
Ronald Ohonen of Odenton, Maryland, arrived on Saturday for a visit at the home
of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Jacques.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lauer and Mary Lynn of Chicago,
and Miss Juen Pagel of Stanley, were Thursday supper guests at the Steve
Danielewicz home.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Novak of Hawkins visited with their daughter and family, the
Walter Kaczmareks, on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman and Mrs. Bertha Dudansky were Sunday afternoon
visitors at the home of Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski.
Barbara Berger of Mondovi was a guest for a few days at the Art Jacques home.
Mr. and Mrs. John Bauernfeind of Hudson, Wis. spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Grabon and Sister M. Florence at Ladysmith.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Biddle and daughters spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. Henry
Huls.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lauer and daughter May Lynn
visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Groettrem at Evon Rapids, Minn.
Friday and also called at the Fred Pagel home at Elk Mound, Wis.
Tom Jacques accompanied Dave Roth of Chippewa Falls on a trip to Spokane, Wash.

Mr. and Mrs. Delton Ebben, Joyce and Gary, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stukle and son
Larry of Joliet, Ill. Spent the past week at Marawaraden Resort on Long Lake,
Serona, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Soeller visited at the Ervin Geisler home in Greenwood on
Tuesday and in the evening all went to Fairchild to see the new T.V. Tower.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lauer and daughter Visited Mr.
Henry Pagel at Marshfield Hospital Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Mike Kronberg returned home on Friday after being a patient at the Victory
Memorial Hospital in Stanley for the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lauer visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stelter on
Monday afternoon, and also at Mr. and Mrs. Theron Pagel Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Vanderhyden and daughter Becky visited at the Rueben Schmidt
home in Abbotsford on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. James Grabon of Estherville, Iowa, spent the weekend in Thorp,
returning home on Sunday. Little Bobbie James and Sister Christie went back with
them after spending a week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grabon.
