Bauernfeind, Sister Mary Florence (19 DEC 1917 - 15 AUG 1966)
Sister Mary Florence Bauernfeind, O.S.M., 49, passed away at St. Mary's
Hospital, Ladysmith on Monday, Aug. 15, 1966 of a lingering illness.
Sister Mary Florence was born Dec. 19, 1917 at Medford, Wis. She entered the
convent Aug. 15, 1936.
Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel, Ladysmith, Wis., with
burial in the Servants of Mary Cemetery, Ladysmith. The solemn high mass was by
Rev. Dominic Albino, O.S.M., Rev. Alex Anton, and Rev. John Reinaldo, S.J.
Pallbearers were: Frank X. Bach, Blinker, Joseph Bauernfeind, Marshfield, Joseph
Hebert, Thorp, Clement Kleutsch, Medford, Paul Ioccina, Bellwood, Ill., and Mike
Grabon, La Crosse.
Cross bearer was Joseph Bauernfeind Jr. of Marshfield; Acolytes: Tim
Bauernfeind, Hudson and Dick Ioccina, Bellwood, Ill.; Censer and Thurible
Carrier, John Bauernfeind Jr. and Dick Bauernfeind, both of Hudson.
She leaves to mourn, her mother, Mrs. T. Bauernfeind of Thorp; three brothers,
Al Bauernfeind of Couer d' Alene, Idaho, Leon Bauernfeind of Rochester, Minn.,
John Bauernfeind of Hudson, Wis.; three sisters, (Dorothy) Mrs. Walter Grabon of
Thorp, (Erica) Mrs. Tom Warner of Clarissa, Minn., (Clair) Mrs. Harry Carrall of
Crete, Ill.; cousin, Rev. Lester Bach, Crown Point, Ind.; Aunts, Sr. Mary Asella,
O.S.F., Milwaukee, Sr. Mary Hermella, O.S.F., Jackson, Miss., Sr. Mary Maximina,
O.S.F., Campbellsport, Sr. Mary Gesela, O.S.F., Milwaukee and Mrs. Earl Smith,
Bradenton, Fla.; Uncle Joseph Elchinger, Los Angeles, Calif., and many nieces,
nephews and cousins. Her father and one brother preceded her in death.
