Schoettler, Ernest (23 Aug 1882 – 04 Jan 1968)

Ernest Schoettler, 85, Loyal, died of complications at his home at11 p.m. Thursday, January 4.

Services were held at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, onMonday, January 8. The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiated and burial was made in the Loyal cemetery.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pall bearers were Melvin Zettler, Frank Schwanke, Roland Seeman, Ted Abel, Allen Fravert and Clarence Liebzeit.

Mrs. Verland and Edwin Dux accompanied by Mrs. John A. Olsen, sang “Rock of Ages.”

Mr. Schoettler was born August 23, 1882, in the town of Beaver, Clark County, and had farmed in the Loyal area until 20 years ago when he moved to the city of Loyal.

His marriage to Alvina Fravert, who preceded him in death, took place September 12, 1906, at the West Side Church in Greenwood.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.

Survivors include a son, Donald, Green Bay, two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Schweiger, Loyal; and Mrs. Leona Garskey, Wausau; a sister, Mrs. Edna Bartline, DePere; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
